Ikuko Tsuruta Lazarus MS, NCC, DCC, CHC offers outstanding credentials, a broad depth of experience and a geuine concern for her clients' well-being. She is a National Certified Cuonselor with a Master's degree in counseling, Distance Credeintial Counselor and Certified Hypnotherapist.
Ikuko specializes in Stress management, increased focus, performance training, Anxiety, Panic attack, Post trauma stress disorder(PTSD) and trauma healing.
She has developed unique transition strategies and utilizes of hypnosis for apropriate cases. She shared her knowledge with the general public through radio and television programs. She is the author of several self-improvement books and CDs, and is a frequent public speaker.
Ikuko started her career in the early 1980s as a journalist. While based in Bangkok, she covered Southeast Asia for a variety of publications and traveled extensively throughout the region. She also taught Japanese writing courses at Thailand’s prestigious Tamasat University.
Ikuko returned to Tokyo in 1990. Along with journalism, she served a cross-cultural consultant for businesses, taught yoga and pursued an interest in Hypnotherapy. She moved to the United States in 1996 and received her counseling degree.
She served as a career counselor at the University of San Francisco and is now in private practice in the Westwood area of Los Angeles, where she works with both English and Japanese speakers from throughout Southern California.
While working as a career counselor, she recognized that Hypnotherapy could play a valuable role in assisting clients with a variety of issues and situations. She joined the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and continued to improve her skills.
